Three reasons why Meghan Markle is the perfect #EllieBiancaWoman

With the excitement of the recent royal wedding still buzzing around in the air, we decided to take a closer look at our new princess. What we found was impressive. An Ellie Bianca Woman embodies all three of our pillars, one of which is Kind to Women. This pillar is demonstrated by an individual who is committed to bettering the lives of women around the world by empowerment through business, including profit sharing, fair trade programs, and education. Here are the top three reasons Meghan Markle is the perfect #EllieBiancaWoman

  1. Meghan is a dedicated humanitarian. While you've seen her on tv and in magazines, one thing you might not know about our new princess is that she was a Global Ambassador for World Vision. Meghan's heart for social justice flew her to various countries where she worked with children and advocated for gender equality.
  2. If you educate a woman, you educate a nation. As mentioned above, Meghan has a strong passion for gender equality – specifically focusing on improving girls' access to education in developing countries. Acting on this passion, it is only natural that Meghan is a supporter of the Myna Mahlia Foundation where women manufacture sanitary pads to sell in communities. The foundation provides these resources to girls, but also fosters open communication about menstruation which is a stigmatized topic in developing countries. In these countries, lack of proper sanitary care impacts girls' accessibility to education.
  3. She walks the walk and talks the talk. Our new princess supports many campaigns and movements focused on women's issues. From the #MeToo movement to the Time's Up campaign, Meghan stresses that women need to feel empowered, and one of the best ways to do this is to use their voice.

Meghan might not be next in line to the throne, but her passion for social justice and women’s rights makes her a queen in our eyes.
